Anybody who volunteers will benefit of so many things that it’s difficult to list them all, but the more obvious ones which are entirely free are:
- round flight from/to Liverpool, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and London STANSTED/ LUTON – chosen flights are available only on certain days of the week, either to BUCHAREST (OTP) or, some – to the new airport of BRASOV (GHV); flights from the EU airports also available, for non UK candidates; ONE STOP FLIGHTS could also be discussed as options under certain conditions; for 2025 we are afraid there are not any available DIRECT FLIGHTS from LONDON GATWICK to ROMANIA;
- Weekly allowance, depending on the committed time;
- 4 and 1/2 work days per week, 6 hours a day ;
- organized guided transfers from and to Romania airport for the Sessions’ dates;
- 24/7 assistance;
- training during placement;
- nice opportunity to work in a warm and friendly team of young 20 – 36 volunteers;
- 3 week short placements (also extendable), offering you more time for your summer plans;
- full board & nice accommodation (bedding and towels incl.);
- easy, relaxed daily schedule (starting 10 a.m.);
- “unwinding” free treats when the working day is done;
- unrestricted pool, sauna (SPA) and fitness access (where available);
- no responsibility for the children’s meals/night time/free time, as they are permanently accompanied by the Romanian teachers & staff (outside the scheduled lessons & activities);
- evenings out/parties with the entire team of British & EU vols;
- phrasebook;
- wireless internet;
- activities resource library & modern multimedia equipment;
- certificate of participation (with reference – on request);
- trips to most important sites around us, in Transylvania;
- 24 hours medical provision on site and RO medical emergency cover;
- free hairdressing service and clothing self-washing;
- 3 – 4 day holiday in Bucharest shopping/sightseeing with accommodation B&B in the best central students clubbing area;
- 5 day Black Sea Coast B&B holiday for summer vols (June 21st – August 26th) + Bucharest holiday.
